{{NYCS}} is a universal template intended to replace older NYCS templates such as {{NYCS time}}.

Parameters

All are optional.

1 (or first unnamed parameter)

The page name without the (New York City Subway service) suffix. If |alt= is given, this isn't needed.

2 (or second unnamed parameter)

The link text, if left blank the value from 1 will be used

3 (or third unnamed parameter)

If given will provide a link ^{{{3}}} to be used in place of the {{NYCS time}}.

4 (or fourth unnamed parameter)

If given, would change the suffix of the link to "(New York City Subway <fourth parameter>)", to link to subway cars and other places as well

alt

If given, will provide an alternate value to link to, aside from [first parameter] (New York City Subway service)

service

If given, will append the text "train" or "service" after the service link.
