Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище зелёного цвета с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, несущее вдоль верхнего края полосу синего цвета шириной 3/10 ширины полотнища. В центре полотнища изображены фигуры из герба города Хасавюрт, выполненные жёлтым, оранжевым, белым и серым цветом.
