Samarkand: Forskelle mellem versioner

Byen hed på græsk Marakanda, efter [[Alexander den Store]] erobrede den i 329 f.Kr. Der er flere teorier om, hvordan Marakanda udviklede sig til Samarkanda / Samarkan.
