Termisk lagring øge sol brøkdel - forholdet mellem sol-energi gevinst, at den samlede efterspørgsel efter energi i systemet - for solvarmeanlæg. Ideelt set er målet for anvendelse af sæsonlagring er at lagre solenergi, der er indsamlet i sommeren til vinter måned.
