Hallo, your bot added the wrong linkage in categories like [[:de:Kategorie:County_Seat_in_Minnesota]] to the commons cat [[:commons:Category:Counties in Minnesota]] what is wrong since these categories are containing the county seats and not the counties itself. :Thank you for the notice. The problem is that there is a link on [[:ro:Categorie:Sedii_de_comitate_din_Minnesota]] and similar articles. There is no good category on Commons so there these options:
:# Create the categories on Commons and fix the commonscat
:# Remove the Commonscat (but if they are not removed on ro-wiki there is a risk they will show up again when commonscat.py is used again)
:# Put a <nowiki><!-- --></nowiki> around the commonscat (then they are hidden and bots should skip the category)
:# Let the commonscat stay.

Then the mistake was caused by the RO:WP. However the IW linkage between the DE, EN and RO Wikipediae is correct and all these cats contain the county seats, not the counties themselves. So mainly it must be removed in the RO:WP. No problem. I already asked to explain the problem in the Romanian Wikipedia and maybe to fix it there. Pitifully IW mistakes in one Wikipedia get duplicated very quickly. For instance, some time ago one bot in the French wikinews linked wrongly portal categories to article categories and you can imagine how "funny" time we had to get that out of the system. --[[Bruger:Matthiasb|Matthiasb]] 9. dec 2009, 23:16 (CET)
:Yes bad iw and/or bad commonscat can spread quickly. But after the first run bot often only finds a few new commonscat and that makes it much easyer to spot errors. If you see any errors you are most welcome to fix them or roll back - sometimes it is hard for me since German is not my main language.
