Lange is the daughter of Mads Johansen Lange and his Chinese wife Nonna Sangnio; consort to Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor and mother of Sultan Ibrahim of Johor. Even though the National Archives website declared that its works are protected under copyright [1], works that have lapsed at least 50/70 years or more (depending on the country). See pg 81 of [2]. Also, considering that Johor(e) was an Unfederated Malay State under British tutelage, the PD-British Gov copyright laws qualify for this image, and for any image for that matter; photograph taken more than 100 years ago.
