English: The historical chronology of Kingdom Hearts - Legend:
- A: As predicted by the Master of Masters, the Keyblade War takes place, in which Kingdom Hearts disappears into darkness and the real χ-blade is destroyed by dividing into twenty fragments. The light contained in the hearts of the children revives the worlds destroyed by the Darkness and the Dandelions, having avoided the War, strive to protect that Light by becoming the first new Keyblade Masters following the instructions given to them earlier by Master Ava.
- B: 1000 years pass following the events of Kingdom Hearts χ and the Keyblade War.
- C: At the end of the events of Birth by Sleep, Ventus has lost his heart (which has found a home in that of a young Sora) and now rests in a secret room of Castle Oblivion, Terra has become the new Xehanort but has lost his memory following a confrontation with Aqua, and Aqua is trapped in the Realm of Darkness. - Beginning of Secret Episode of Birth by Sleep.
- D: Ten years pass between the events of Birth by Sleep and those of Kingdom Hearts. Since time does not exist in the Realm of Darkness, Aqua does not realize this time has passed.
- E: Aqua finds herself at Castle of Dreams, trapped in the Realm of Darkness, and starts looking for a way out - Beginning of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-.
- F: Sora sacrifices himself to awaken the six Princesses of Heart and give Kairi back her heart, thus becoming a Heartless and creating his Nobody: Roxas, who is later recruited by Xemnas into Organization XIII.
- G: Aqua meets Mickey and goes with him to close the door connecting the realms of Light and Darkness, but they are separated and she is once again lost in the Realm of Darkness.
After closing the door, Sora, Donald and Goofy enter Castle Oblivion. Riku too finds himself in Castle Oblivion's basements, learning how to identify and control Darkness while he too climbs up. - Beginning of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
- H: Xion, Roxas' replica made from Sora's memories, joins the Organization.
- I: Naminé begins to recover Sora's memories, putting him asleep; due to this, Roxas falls into a coma and when he awakens, he has fragments of Sora's memories. Riku also manages to escape the basements and allies with DiZ to learn to better control his powers, helping protect Naminé with Mickey.
- J: Roxas is intercepted by Riku, defeated and taken to the virtual Twilight Town.
- K: After a week in the virtual Twilight Town, Roxas meets Sora to allow him to wake up.
- L: Sora, Kairi and Riku return to Destiny Islands after the defeat of Xemnas. Jiminy Cricket discovers a mysterious phrase in the Journal - Beginning of Kingdom Hearts: Coded.
- M: Sora, Kairi and Riku receive a letter from King Mickey, in which he informs them of what he discovered on his journey in the Datascape, and summons Sora and Riku to Yen Sid to be subjected to the Mark of Mastery exam. - Epilogue of Kingdom Hearts II.
- N: After discovering Xehanort's plans and rescuing Sora, the Mark of Mastery exam is concluded, which sees only Riku named as the new Keyblade Master. Sora then goes to train in order to pass the exam too.
- O: Kairi is brought by Riku to the Mysterious Tower on Yen Sid's orders, where Mickey tells them how he met Aqua in the Realm of Darkness - Prologue of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-
- P: At the end of the story, Riku and Mickey go to recover Aqua from the Realm of Darkness while Kairi goes to train together with Lea under Merlin. Later, Sora returns to the Mysterious Tower and is sent by Yen Sid on a journey to recover the power he lost due to Xehanort. - Epilogue of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-.
- Q: After Sora finally gains the power of waking, Aqua and Ventus are rescued, and Kairi and Lea finish their training, the seven light assemble before the clash with Xehanort.
- R: Master Xehanort forges the χ-blade but is defeated by Sora, who then seals Kingdom Hearts away.
After this, Sora begins to search for Kairi. - Beginning of Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind.
Sora finds Kairi and they return to Destiny Islands; however he vanishes, having abused the power of waking.
At the Keyblade Graveyard, Braig reveals himself to be Luxu and proceeds with the Master of Masters' plan. - Epilogue of Kingdom Hearts III.
- S: An year has passed since Sora's disappearance, with all the guardians of light looking after him but without success. At the Final World, Sora battles and defeats Yozora, who leaves with an enigmatic sentence.
- T: Thanks to Kairi and the Fairy Godmother, Riku is able to open a portal to the world where Sora might be. Kairi comes back to finish her training.

- A: Come predetto dal Maestro dei Maestri, avviene la Guerra dei Keyblade ed il mondo cade nelle tenebre. La luce nei cuori dei bambini rianima i mondi ed i Denti di leone si prodigano a proteggere quella Luce.
- B: Trascorrono 1000 anni dagli eventi di Kingdom Hearts χ e dalla Guerra dei Keyblade.
- C: Alla fine di Birth by Sleep, Ventus ha perso il suo cuore (rifugiatosi poi nel giovane Sora) e riposa in una stanza segreta del Castello dell'Oblio, Terra è diventato il nuovo Xehanort ma ha perso la memoria in seguito ad uno scontro con Aqua, e quest'ultima è rimasta intrappolata nel Regno dell'Oscurità. - Inizio Episodio segreto di Birth by Sleep.
- D: Passano dieci anni tra gli eventi di Birth by Sleep e quelli di Kingdom Hearts. Poiché nel Regno dell'Oscurità il tempo non esiste, Aqua non si accorge del passaggio di questo periodo di tempo.
- E: Aqua si ritrova al Castello dei sogni, sprofondato nel Regno dell'Oscurità, ed inizia a cercare una via d'uscita - inizio eventi di Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep.
- F: Sora si sacrifica per risvegliare le sei Principesse del cuore e ridare a Kairi il suo cuore, diventando un Heartless e generando il suo Nessuno: Roxas, che viene in seguito reclutato da Xemnas nell’Organizzazione XIII.
- G: Aqua incontra Topolino e va a chiudere con lui la porta che collega i regni della Luce e dell'Oscurità, ma i due vengono separati ed Aqua rimane sperduta nel Regno dell'Oscurità. Dopo aver chiuso la porta, Sora, Paperino e Pippo si addentrano nel Castello dell'Oblio. Riku si ritrova nei sotterranei del Castello, imparando come riconoscere e controllare l'Oscurità mentre lo risale a sua volta.
- H: Xion, replica di Roxas creata dai ricordi di Sora, si unisce ai ranghi dell'Organizzazione.
- I: Naminé inizia a ripristinare i ricordi di Sora, facendolo addormentare; a seguito di ciò, Roxas cade in coma, ed al suo risveglio possiede frammenti dei ricordi di Sora. Riku riesce a sua volta a risalire le segrete del Castello e si allea con DiZ per imparare a controllare meglio i suoi poteri, inoltre aiutando e proteggendo Naminé assieme a Topolino.
- J: Roxas viene intercettato da Riku, sconfitto e portato nella Crepuscopoli virtuale.
- K: Dopo una settimana nella Crepuscopoli virtuale, Roxas si riunisce a Sora per permettergli di svegliarsi.
- L: Sora, Kairi e Riku sono tornati alle Isole del destino dopo la disfatta di Xemnas. Il Grillo scopre una misteriosa frase sul Grillario - inizio eventi di Kingdom Hearts Coded.
- M: Sora, Kairi e Riku ricevono una lettera da re Topolino, che li informa di ciò che ha scoperto nel Grillario digitale e convoca Sora e Riku da Yen Sid per essere sottoposti all'esame del Simbolo di maestria. - epilogo di Kingdom Hearts II.
- N: Dopo aver scoperto i piani di Xehanort ed aver salvato Sora, l'esame si conclude e Riku viene nominato Maestro. Sora riparte da solo per allenarsi e passare anch'egli l'esame.
- O: Riku porta Kairi alla Torre su richiesta di Yen Sid, dopodiché Topolino racconta di come incontrò Aqua nel Regno dell'Oscurità - prologo di Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep.

- Q: Dopo che Sora acquisisce il potere del risveglio, Aqua e Ven vengono salvati, e Kairi e Lea terminano il loro allenamento, le sette luci si riuniscono per lo scontro con Xehanort.

- T: Grazie all'aiuto di Kairi e della Fata madrina, Riku riesce ad aprire un portale per il mondo in cui si potrebbe trovare Sora. Kairi fa ritorno per ultimare il suo allenamento.
