* The students might regard information collected from Wikipedia as true, without reflecting over the [[sources]] - or lack of sources - used
on the other hand
* Students are hesitant to use Wikipedia in their work due to teacher's admonishment
* We need to teach students to use the resources available, but with a critical attitude.
== Goals of the unit ==
* Make students aware of the utility or services such as Wikipedia
* Make students aware of the dangers of using Wikipedia as source material
* Giving students research abilities
* Teaching students subject matter
== Method: ==
* Students are given a subject on which there is no wiki page (or one with a very limited amount of information)
* The students are then asked to research the subject and in the end write an entry on Wikipedia on it.
* during the exercise the teacher should discuss the nature of Wikipedia and its uses and misuses.
