I won't attempt to make workarounds elsewhere. This is because the Danish and English Wikipedias (and no others) have articles with this title; the only other Wikipedias with articles are Ladino (where confusion won't happen) and Chinese (which has a totally different title, [[:zh:拉德，一只狗]]). I wanted this not because of software issues or problems with colon-handling, but because someone might enter the title in a search bar or URL — someone might go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad:A_Dog or https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad:A_Dog and be surprised to see a Ladino article, so the note helps the reader who doesn't know what happened or how to get back.
