Bot without bot-flag

redigér

Hello, I have just blocked you to get your attention, as you seem to be doing bot-edits without bot-flag. According to the Danish Wikipedia bot-policy (unfortunately only available in Danish, my translation) then "if you want to run a bot on the Danish Wikipedia, you must request bot-flag. The botflag will be given by a beaucrat." unless your bot is a global bot (which doesn't seem to be the case). The moment you respond here or provide other contact information, I (or some other administrator) will remove the block. In kind regards Henrik (heb, Diskussion   Bidrag   E-mail) 20. dec 2011, 14:53 (CET)

Not adding a user page is my misstake, sorry.
You can get more infos about the job on meta:Death anomalies table.
Of course i can request that this bot will be added to the bot group. But the bot won't use the bot flag on its edits because people watching this single page would like to see when its updated. And because its only about one edit a day its not spamming recent changes. Merlissimo 20. dec 2011, 15:01 (CET)
Please request bot flag none the less, in order to avoid confusion and it being blocked at a later time. --Henrik (heb, Diskussion   Bidrag   E-mail) 20. dec 2011, 15:14 (CET)
The block has now been removed. --Henrik (heb, Diskussion   Bidrag   E-mail) 20. dec 2011, 15:16 (CET)
Ok, Wikipedia:Anmodning om botstatus#MerlBot. Merlissimo 20. dec 2011, 15:18 (CET)
Kaare accepted the task without granting bot flag. Merlissimo 25. dec 2011, 16:19 (CET)

Problem with the bot

redigér

Hi bot-owner.

So far it seems that your bot has been working well. However, today it has added a long list of people all born in 1953 as being supposed dead on other wikis. This is hardly probable; it among others include the NATO general secretary Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and no news about his death has appeared.

I suppose there is an error in your bot. Could you please fix that? Greetings, Arne (Amjaabc) 4. jan 2012, 14:00 (CET)

This was caused by vandalism on frwiki [1], which is already reverted. Merlissimo 4. jan 2012, 14:39 (CET)
Fine, it also looked really strange. --Arne (Amjaabc) 4. jan 2012, 16:43 (CET)
